MU-Rice game balls
Offense - Darius Marshall
The sophomore topped 100 rushing yards for the fourth straight game, giving Marshall 1,001 for the season.
Defense - Maurice Kitchens
Marshall's man in the defensive middle scooped his team-leading fourth interception of the season and sacked standout Rice quarterback Chase Clement. Kitchens, a middle linebacker, has totaled more pickoffs than the entire Thundering Herd secondary combined.
Special Teams - Kase Whitehead
Marshall's punter mostly was sound and he sprinted 12 yards on a fake for a first down.
"He bounced back after last week (in a loss to UCF)," Marshall head coach Mark Snyder said. "I was pleased with Kase today."
