Huntington Prep's Wiggins wins Naismith award
HUNTINGTON — Huntington Prep’s Andrew Wiggins was named the 2013 Naismith Boys High School Player of the Year on Monday. The award is given annually to the best player in high school basketball.
Wiggins has been the No. 1 rated prospect for the class of 2013 all season and has led Huntington Prep to be ranked in the top 10 throughout the year.
Wiggins will also be competing in the McDonald’s All-American game April 3, at the United Center in Chicago and in the Jordan Brand Classic on April 13, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
