Turf Bowl set for Saturday, Nov. 7

HUNTINGTON — Turf Bowl Championships for the Tri-State Youth Football League are Saturday in Joan C. Edwards Stadium at Marshall University.


Opening ceremony at 9:45 a.m. Games begin at 10 a.m.


The schedule:
n D Team — Barboursville (11-0) v. Ceredo-Kenova (10-0)
n C Team — Douglass Cammack (11-0) v. Ceredo-Kenova (9-0)
n B Team — Douglass Cammack (11-0) v. South Point (10-0)
n A Team — Beverly Hills (10-0) v. Tolsia (9-0)

Following is a wrapup of the semifinal action.


D Team
Barboursville had Jayce Gould scoring three touchdowns in a 34-16 victory against Milton. Gould had TD runs of 27, 64 and 28 yards. Ivan Vaughn ran for two scores. Milton had touchdown runs by Andrew Shull and Christian Smith.


C-K edged Douglass/Cammack, 6-0, in overtime. Graeson Malashevich had the touchdown.


C Team
Jereemiah Milum scored a pair of touchdowns for C-K in a 14-0 defeat of Milton. Douglass.Cammack downed Chesapeake, 12-6, on TD runs by Darrell Nicks and Javon Schneider. Casey McComas scored for Chesapeake.


B Team
Douglass/Cammack beat Buffalo, 14-8, in overtime. Marquis Brown scored the winning touchdown on a pass from Jaylon Adaway. Dionne Jackson also scored a TD. Buffalo had a touchdown by Tucker Watts.


South Point slipped past Wayne, 24-18, with D’Angelo Palladino scoring on rushes of 65, 24 and 6 yards. Seth Kratzenberg also scored. Logan Queen scored a pair of Wayne touchdowns and Kade Sebastian had one.


A Team
Frederick Hightower and Trey Sims both scored a pair of Beverly Hills touchdowns in a 26-0 victory over C-K. Tolsia defeated Douglass/Cammack, 36-18, with Jennings Holland scoring on runs of 60, 7 and 9 yards. Robert Dalton caught a TD pass from Holland. Luke Presley returned a blocked punt to the end zone. D/C had touchdowns by Antwon Washington, RaShaun Jones and Anthony Meadows.
