Marshall tennis signs three new players
HUNTINGTON -- Dominika Zaprazna and Ester Dorova from Bratislava, Slovakia Republic, signed to play for the Marshall University women's tennis team.
Marshall also signed Karlyn Timko of Houston, Pa.
"We are excited for both Zaprazna and Dorova to come to Marshall and they each have impressive recommendations from their coaches." Marshall head coach John Mercer said. "They both will be immediate impact players for our program."
Timko, from Chartiers-Houston High School, was rated as the No. 2 senior prospect by Tennis Recruiting Network. Her father, Mike Timko, is a former West Virginia University quarterback. She is the niece of former U.S. Olympic gymnast Mary Lou Retton.
"We have very high expectations for her," Mercer said.
