Winfield, Hurricane to play for MSAC soccer title

HUNTINGTON -- An all-Putnam County matchup of Winfield and Hurricane is set for the Mountain State Athletic Conference boys soccer championship.

Winfield and Hurricane meet for the boys title at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Trace Fork Soccer Complex in Charleston.

Princeton and George Washington play for the girls championship in the first game at noon.

Championship: Winfield vs. Hurricane, 2 p.m., Saturday, at Trace Fork.

Third place: South Charleston at Parkersburg, noon, Saturday.

Fifth place: George Washington at Huntington High, 10 a.m., Saturday.

Seventh place: Spring Valley at Nitro, 2 p.m., Saturday.

Ninth place, Woodrow Wilson at Capital, 1 p.m., Saturday.

11th place: Cabell Midland at Princeton, 1 p.m., Oct. 13.

13th place: Riverside at St. Albans, 10 a.m., Saturday.

15th place: Ripley (no game).
