Huntington BagTag team competing in Las Vegas

HUNTINGTON -- Team BagTag from the West Virginia Jewel City League of Huntington is playing this week at the World Adult Kickball Championship in Las Vegas.

The Founders Cup featuring 60 competitive teams is being contested at the Desert Breeze Soccer Complex.

Team members are Brandon Woolum, Brian Ball, Kara Dills, Paul Martin, Cole Woodard, Todd Schimmel, Zach Blatt, Megan Borak, Todd Perdue, Chris Reese, Megan Reed, Gary Ball and Alexis DeVaul.

Woolum and Brian Ball are the team captains.

Team BagTag went 12-0 while allowing a state record of only six runs in the West Virginia Jewel City League season.

The team is ranked No. 43 in the nation and begins play Friday against No. 13 Santa Barbara, Calif.

World Adult Kickball has more than 7,000 players in 35 states.
