WVU, Va. Tech renew series for two games

MORGANTOWN -- West Virginia and Virginia Tech are renewing their football rivalry for two games.

WVU athletics director Oliver Luck announced Wednesday that the schools will play a two-game series in 2021 and 2022. The first game will be played in Morgantown on Sept. 18, 2021. The second game will be played Sept. 24, 2022, in Blacksburg, Va.

The Mountaineers and the Hokies have faced each other 51 times since the series began in 1912.

The last time was in 2005 in Morgantown.

Sullivan scores first ace at Esquire G.C.

BARBOURSVILLE -- Golfer Lindy Sullivan made his first hole-in-one Wednesday at Esquire Golf Club.

Sullivan aced the No. 7 hole, a 135-yard, par-3 with an A-wedge.

The witnesses were Jack Nichols, Gary Daniels and Phil Stapleton.
