Spring Valley defeats Princeton

PRINCETON, W.Va. — Spring Valley ran the final six minutes-plus off the game clock to hold off Princeton, 21-14, on Friday. Bryer Brewer had a pair of touchdowns for the Timberwolves (3 -2).

Brewer’s 2-yard touchdown run opened the scoring in the first quarter.

After Jay Palmer pulled Princ­eton (2-3) even with a 20-yard TD carry, Spring Valley went ahead on quarterback Tyler Brown’s 1-yard scoring run.

Brewer caught a 27-yard touchdown pass from Brown that put the ‘Wolves ahead, 21-7, at halftime.

Princeton did the only scor­ing of the second half – a Tahj Sho-Johnson 1-yard TD run with 6:06 remaining.

Spring Valley controlled the remainder of the game.

The Timberwolves play at home next week against Win­feld .
