HURRICANE -- The end of the inaugural season for the Hurricane High School lacrosse team has come to an end.

The team concluded with a record of 8-3 and finished fifth place in the WVSLA rankings.

The Redskins finished the season Saturday, May 4, at Wheeling Central. The Knights have had a team in the WVSLA since 2007 under the direction of coach Kevin Maloney.

Against Wheeling Central, goalie Thomas Adkins had a strong outing and Tyler Sovine and Josh Ellis both scored in the 15-2 loss.

Hurricane coach Shane Wilson will be conducting camps throughout the summer for those interested in learning the game.
