Monarchs down Herd, 70-62
NORFOlK, Va. — Old Dominion remained unbeaten while handing Marshall (2-1) its first men’s basketball defeat Saturday night, 70-62.
ODU (4-0) was led by Gerald Lee’s 22 points. Frank Hassell had 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Marshall guard Damier Pitts scored 14 and forward Tyler Wilkerson added 12. Wilkerson also grabbed seven rebounds.
The Monarchs used 17 offensive rebounds to take a 19-4 advantage in second-chance points.
Old Dominion led at halftime, 28-21.
