Kentucky Christian falls in inaugural game 56-12
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Virginia-Wise rolled past Kentucky Christian University in its inaugural football game Thursday, 56-12.
Virginia-Wise quarterback Randy Hippeard passed for 331 yards and seven touchdowns. Jason Lovett caught nine passes for 253 yards and five scores.
Jake Hughes and Austin Seevers scored KCU touchdowns.
Hughes was on the end of a 58-yard touchdown pass from Ricky Phillips, who completed 4 of 10 for 79 yards. Seevers pulled in a 44-yard scoring pass from Beau Dailey.
The KCU Knights had five turnovers.
