David Walsh: Hurricane finishes first in Top Flite High School Tournament
Two seconds in four starts helped Hurricane finish on top in the Top Flite High School Tournament Series for 2008.
The tour had five tournaments overall. The Redskins, who won the West Virginia Class AAA state title in 2007, placed second at Parkersburg and Capital City Classic and amassed 4,100 points to 2,500 for No. 2 Cabell Midland. The Knights won the Capital City Classic. Parkersburg South A was third, George Washington A fourth and Parkersburg South B fifth.
That makes it two straight High School Tournament Series titles for Hurricane. The Redskins racked up 4,900 points last year along with two wins. Ravenswood was distant second.
