Wayne will face Keyser; Midland gets Martinsburg

KEYSER, W.Va. -- Blake Ravenscroft ran Keyser into the Class AA state championship game.

Ravenscroft carried 13 times for 241 yards and three touchdowns Friday afternoon in a 42-14 semifinal defeat of Bridgeport.

No. 2 Keyser (12-1) will face No. 1 Wayne (13-0) for the championship at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at Wheeling Island Stadium.

Ravenscroft had TD runs of 27, 72 and 55 yards.

Danny Fife carried 12 times for 74 yards and one score. Cody Eversole passed for 50 yards, including a 37-yard touchdown pass to J.R. Flint.

MARTINSBURG 63, GEORGE WASHINGTON 14: Justin "Cookie" Clinton rushed for a Class AAA preliminary playoff round record six touchdowns Friday night as No. 2 Martinsburg (12-1) advanced to play for its third consecutive state championship.

Martinsburg takes on No. 1 Cabell Midland (13-0) for the title at noon, Saturday, Dec. 1, at Wheeling Island Stadium.

Clinton had 22 rushing attempts for 197 yards. Trey Boyd added 79 yards on 12 carries and a pair of touchdowns while Cedric Brown scored on a 16-yard run.

George Washington back Ryan Switzer was bottled up for the most part by a stout defense. Switzer had 117 rushing yards on 23 carries, 69 yards on four receptions and threw a touchdown pass.
