Cummings pitches in Olympic victory
HUNTINGTON — East Pea Ridge resident Jeremy Cummings pitched two scoreless innings Wednesday for Team USA in a 4-2 baseball victory against Japan in the Beijing Olympics.
Cummings, 32, was the second of six pitchers used by the U.S. He allowed one hit and one walk.
Team USA completed pool play with a 5-2 record and four-game win streak.
The U.S. will play Cuba in one semifinal Friday, with South Korea facing Japan in the other.
