Crash defense has big day in grid-o-rama

MORGANTOWN -- The West Virginia Crash defense made a strong showing Saturday in a United States Football Alliance pre-season grid-o-rama at the Pro Performance indoor facility.

The West Virginia Gladiators, Pittsburgh Pride and Steel City Ironmen joined the Crash for the scrimmage. The Crash allowed two scores in five 10-play series drives. Jason Colso, former standout for West Virginia, had 21 yards on nine carries against the Crash.

The Crash will open the regular season at 1 p.m. May 31 against the Mountain State Bruins (Summersville) Ward-Craycraft Stadium in Kenova.

The Crash will practice at noon Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at C-K Field.

The final workout in full pads will be May 23 at noon. It will be helmets only on May 24 at 2 p.m.
