Funeral to be held for Robinson family in Fla.

HUNTINGTON -- A celebration of the lives of Brent Robinson and his wife, Julia Caldwell Robinson, is being held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at The Bridge Church of Palma Sola Bay, 4000 75th St. West, Bradenton, Fla.

Brent Robinson is the son of former Major League Baseball pitcher Donnie Robinson, a Kenova native, and his wife Rhonda.

The couple and her parents, Gary and Patricia Caldwell of Putney, Ky, died in a Christmas Eve traffic accident in Knox County, Ky. The driver of the other vehicle also died.

Brent Robinson is survived by his parents, Donnie and Rhonda Robinson, his older brother, Brad, all of Bradenton; maternal grandparents Ron and Sara Castle of Ceredo; paternal grandparents, Don and Priscilla Robinson of Kenova; and several aunts, uncles and cousins and his dog, Scruffy.

Committal services will follow at the Palma Sola Cemetery in Bradenton. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Manatee Hope, Inc. at 3821 East State Road 64, Bradenton, FL 34208 or FACE of Sarasota at P.O. Box 1424, Sarasota, FL 34230 in Brent and Julia's memory.
