Midland boys defeat Lincoln County, 66-54

HAMLIN -- Cabell Midland's boys basketball team used a balanced effort and did not allow Lincoln County to make a second-half run as the Knights earned a 66-54 road win on Wednesday night.

Dakota Leonard led the Knights with 13 points while Keegan Adkins added 12 points.

Sawyer Beckett also had 10 points for Cabell Midland (3-4), who jumped out to a 33-22 lead at halftime.

Andrew Davis led Lincoln County with 16 points while T.J. Arbaugh netted 14. Kenny Holton also had 13 points in the loss.

Cabell Midland takes the floor again on Saturday with a home contest against Princeton.

HURRICANE 47, RIPLEY 43 (OT): Taneisha Studavent led Hurricane with 13 points and 16 rebounds and the Redskins used a fourth-quarter comeback to force overtime and keep Ripley winless on the year.

Callie McClanahan added 11 points while Abby Watson had 10 points and 12 rebounds for Hurricane (4-2), who plays at Point Pleasant on Saturday.

Chelsey Hayes led Ripley (0-8) with 13 points.
