HUNTINGTON -- The 2013 golf season starts this weekend for Huntington's Josef Dransfeld and Andy Michael.

The two juniors are competing in the Copperhead Classic at Innisbrook Golf Resort in Innisbrook, Fla. The tournament is the opening event on the U.S. Kids Golf Regional Championship schedule.

The resort's three courses -- North, South and Copperhead -- are being used. Dransfeld and Michael are competing in the Boys 12 Division. They'll be on the Copperhead Course (5,810 yards, par 72). The tournament has eight divisions for boys and seven for girls.

This tournament is invitation only. Dransfeld, a seventh-grader at Our Lady of Fatima School, won the 11-year-old division last year. Michael is in the seventh grade at Barboursville Middle. Their coach is Rick Ellison, pro at Guyan Golf and Country Club.

Innisbrook is the home for the PGA Tour's Tampa Bay Championship. The pros will visit the Copperhead Course on March 11-17.
