Redskins get 21-0 shutout of Ripley

HURRICANE -- Zach Pate rushed for a pair of Hurricane touchdowns Friday in a 21-0 victory over Ripley.

The Redskins (4-2) were victorious on Homecoming. The Vikings slipped to 3-4.

Pate scored on runs of 3 and 7 yards. Koi Turner caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Austin Hensley.

MINGO CENTRAL 22, TOLSIA 20: Joe May's two-point conversion with 5:24 left moved the Miners to 4-2.

Alex Lee tied it, 20-20, on a touchdown pass from May. The Miners missed the extra point kick, but an offside penalty on Tolsia gave the home team another chance. Mingo Central went for two and made it.

Tolsia is 3-4.

SYMMES VALLEY 56, SCIOTOVILLE COMMUNITY 14: Special teams contributed heavily for the Vikings, 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the Southern Ohio Conference.

Alec Herrell's 75-yard punt return touchdown made it 22-0 in the first quarter. D.J. Miller had a 95-yard kickoff return touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Herrell also had two rushing touchdowns and caught a TD pass from Tyler Rowe.

WAHAMA 24, FEDERAL HOCKING 6: West Virginia Class A Wahama (7-0) had two touchdown runs by Zach Wamsley.

Crandal Neal ran for another touchdown and Coalton Neal returned an interception for a score.

OAK HILL 34, POINT PLEASAT 14: Jalen Jones of the Red Devils (5-1) rushed for 312 yards and had two touchdowns.

Chase Walton and Teran Barnitz had TDs for the Big Blacks (4-2).

SOUTH CHARLESTON 62, LINCOLN CO. 14: Kentre Grier of the Black Eagles (4-3) threw four touchdown passes.

The freshman quarterback added a 7-yard TD run.

Lincoln County fell to 0-6.

WEBSTER CO. 34, POCA 24:The Highlanders (4-3) rallied for 20 points in the third quarter and overtook the Dots (2-5).

Jacob Payne of Poca had two rushing touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass.

BUFFALO 23, WIRT CO. 21: Class A No. 12 Buffalo (5-1) recovered an onside kick in the final minute to preserve its victory.

Bison quarterback Levi Jordan tossed a 21-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Robinson and kicked a 36-yard field goal.

No. 8 Wirt County is 4-2.
