Southern Ohio Speedway opens racing on Saturday
WHEELERSBURG, Ohio -- Southern Ohio Speedway has opening night Saturday with a $2,000-to-win feature for Late Model stock cars.
Eddie Carrier Jr., the 2012 Late Model track champion, is driving for his third consecutive win on opening night.
The lineup also includes racing in the Modified, Sport Mod and Pure Stock classes.
Jeremy Rayburn used a 2012 opening night victory in the Modified class as the springboard to the season track championship.
Pure Stocks are making their Southern Ohio Speedway debut in the most economical class running at the track.
Track gates open at 4 p.m. and hot laps begin at 6:30 p.m.
General admission is $12 for age 17 and older, $5 for age 13 to 16, $2 for age 7 to 12 and free for age 6 and younger.
