St. Joe boys split games

HUNTINGTON -- Trace Adkins drove in three runs and Paul Dransfeld delivered a three-run double on his lone hit to lead St. Joe past Elliott County, 13-4.

Lewis County topped the Irish, 12-2, in the first game in Autism Awareness Tournament. Stephen Jenkins belted a double for the only Irish hit.

Ben Vanston pitched a complete game for St. Joe (3-1).

The Irish return to action Monday at home against Cross Lanes Christian. Game time at the YMCA Kennedy Center is 5 p.m.

Jennifer Sang had four hits and Kadin Gould three for the Irish (1-6).
