GRAYSON, Ky. -- Corey Mullins is the new men's basketball head coach at Kentucky Christian University.
Mullins, 27, spent last season as head coach at Boyce College in Louisville. Before that he was a women's team assistant coach at Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn.
He replaces Will Shouse who left KCU for the head coaching position at Asbury College in Wilmore, Ky. Shouse led the Knights to consecutive third-place finishes at the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association Division II tournament.
"Corey's passion for basketball combined with his passion to make disciples really makes him a perfect fit for this position," KCU athletic director Rick Cooper said.
He will also serve as the Student Activities Director at KCU.
Mullins and his wife, Carrie, have one son, Grady.
