Pierson leads St. Joe
SMITHERS, W.Va. -- Josh Pierson scored 33 points to lead Huntington St. Joe to a 77-61 win at Valley-Fayette in boys high school basketball action on Thursday night.
In addition to Pierson's big night, Huntington St. Joe got 23 points from Michael Mayes in the win also.
Huntington St. Joe has won six straight games and improved to 12-4 on the season.
Valley-Fayette got 11 points from Arik McGinnis and 10 each from Robby Belmont and Corey Tolley.
