Fairland girls stay unbeaten

PEDRO, Ohio -- Terra Stapleton had 23 points to keep Fairland undefeated on the season with a convincing 70-17 win over Rock Hill on Thursday.

In addition to the scoring output, Stapleton added 15 rebounds and six blocks in the win for the Dragons, who moved to 15-0 on the season.

She was the lone double-figure scorer in the contest. Fairland had 12 players score in the game.

Rock Hill drops to 6-9 with the loss.

LaKisha Adkins added 19 points while Abby Steele chipped in 12 for Huntington High (11-5).

The Highlanders took control of the contest by outscoring the Warriors 21-4 in the second quarter.

Brittany Wood led Riverside (3-14) with 17 points.
