MSAC names all-conference teams

HUNTINGTON -- All-Mountain State Athletic Conference teams were announced for football, volleyball and cheerleading.

FOOTBALL

All-MSAC football first team selections from Cabell Midland were David Gaydosz, Lowell Farley, Josh Baisden, Chris Molina and Gage Gould. All-conference second team picks for the Knights were NIck Boone and Stephen Matthews.

Cabell Midland's Luke Salmons was the conference coach of the year.

Huntington High had Nigale Cabell and Peyton Johnson on the first team. Highlanders on the second team weree Paden Christian, Toney Kitts and Jarod Martin.

Elijah Wellman from Spring Valley made the first team with Trevor Stacey. The Timberwolves had Ryan George on the second team with Matt Fuller, Colby Webb, Cory Hughart and Bryer Brewer.

Putnam County players on the first team were Austin Hensley and Zach Cooper of Hurricane and Seth Lewis from Winfield. Hurricane also had Koi Turner, Caleb Craddock and and Mike Molina on the second team. Chris Turner from Winfield was also on the second team.

VOLLEYBALL

Cassie Weaver from Cabell Midland was the MSAC player of the year and Taylor Riedel made the all-conference first team.

Other volleyball first team selections included Alexis Williams from Huntington High; Brittany Ritter and Kassidy Lemons from Spring Valley; and Carla Gunnewig of Winfield. Sara Ferguson from Winfield was on the second team.

CHEERLEADING

All-conference first team cheerleaders included Whitney Zickefoose from Huntington High, Haley Hall from Cabell Midland, Aisha Conway from Spring Valley, Kristen Mullins of Hurricane and Rachel Sneeringer of Winfield. Second team selections included Ciana Crawford of Huntington High, .Jade Pinkerman of Cabell Midland, Josie Boyd from Spring Valley, Peyton Dean from Hurricane and Michael Blankenship from Winfield.

Mary Jane Anderson from Winfield was the coach of the year.
