Fairland defeats South Point, 74-56

PROCTORVILLE, Ohio -- Fairland put up 30 points in the third quarter Tuesday in a 74-56 boys basketball victory over South Point.

Evan Maddox had 23 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Dragons (10-4, 6-0) in the Ohio Valley Conference game. Cody Midkiff (15), Chance Short (11) and Kyle Raines (10) also scored in double figures. Raines had eight rebounds and Midkiff had five assists.

South Point (6-7, 1-4) had double-figure points from Brandon Barnes (14), Payne Meadows (13) and John Johnson (12).

SOUTH POINT 14 15 17 10 -- 56: Kratzenberg 3, Johnson 12, Williams 2, Majher 2, Adams 7, Meadows 13, Barnes 14, Boggs 3.

FAIRLAND 15 19 30 10 -- 74: Flynn 4, Midkiff 15, Short 11, Campbell 7, Raines 10, Maddox 23, Bray 4.

BOYD COUNTY 86, LEWIS COUNTY 62: Austin Hunt topped five double-figure scorers for the Lions (11-9) with 20. Grayson Griffith scored 15, Todd Stacy 14, Bobby Anderson 10 and Tristan Burgess 10.

Lewis County is 9-8.

Zak Miller and Chase Preston both scored 11 for Logan (5-6).

T.J. Arbaugh had 17 points and 10 rebounds for Lincoln County (6-7) while Kenny Holton had 12 points and 10 boards.
