Liberty tops MU at swim meet, 119-81

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Liberty University won a women's swimming meet Saturday against Marshall University, 119-81.

Kaley Gregory had two of the Thundering Herd's three individual event wins.

Gregory was first in the 100-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 10:36.60. She also won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:13.38.

Kacey Preun was first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:23.58.

Marshall won the 200 freestyle relay with Danica Ross, Lauren Hurd, Arlie Rykosky and Katie Kramer posting a time of 1:42.48.

Sarah Kay finished second in the 200 butterfly (2:10.12) and was third in the 200 IM (2:17.30).

Marshall's dual meet record slipped to 5-6 while the Flames improved to 9-2.

The Herd's next meet is Saturday at Duquesne.
