Redskins swim team places 2nd at meet
SCOTT DEPOT -- Hurricane High School earned second place in combined team score at the Martin Luther King Invitational on Monday, Jan. 21, at Toyota Aquatics Center in the Tri-County YMCA, Scott Depot.
Hurricane scored 352 points combined, following Parkersburg High School's 731.5 points. Hurricane edged out Huntington High, which scored a combined team total of 332.
Hurricane's girls brought in 185 points for second place in the women's rankings, behind Parkersburg's 429.5 and Huntington's 145.
The Redskin's men ranked third with 167 points, following Parkersburg's 302 and Huntington's 187.
Winfield ranked fifth overall with 238 points. Winfield women ranked fifth with 135 points and Winfield men ranked sixth with 103 points.
