February 08, 2013 @ 12:00 AM

CHARLESTON -- Quarterback Geno Smith is among four West Virginia University players invited to participate in the NFL's annual scouting combine.

Marshall University receiver Aaron Dobson also received an invitation.

Other Mountaineers invited to the combine are wide receivers Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey, and center Joe Madsen.

The combine will be held Feb. 20-26 in Indianapolis.

Smith rewrote West Virginia's record book, throwing for 4,205 yards and leading the nation with 42 touchdown passes in 2012.

Dobson had 679 receiving yards last season for Marshall.

Austin set a school record with 2,910 all-purpose yards and ranked second nationally. Bailey led the nation with 25 touchdown receptions and was third with 1,622 receiving yards. Both are school records.

Madsen had a school-record 50 career starts at WVU.
