Road to Charleston continues
HUNTINGTON — The road to Charleston continues Tuesday for Spring Valley in the Class AAA, Regon IV girls basketball co-finals.
Spring Valley (21-3), ranked No. 2 in the state and the Region IV, Section 2 champion, will host Winfield (12-12) at 7 p.m., Tuesday, with the winner advancing to the state tournament March 6-9 in the Charleston Civic Center.
The Timberwolves earned the right to host the region co-final after defeating Logan, 68-67, for the sectional championship Friday in the Huntington High gym.
In the other Region IV co-final, Logan (14-9) travels to St. Albans (14-10) to take on the Red Dragons, who defeated Winfield, 30-27, in the Section 1 championship.
