Hurricane boys come back to beat Midland
HURRICANE -- Hurricane fell behind 4-0 after a half-inning, but charged back to defeat Cabell Midland, 9-4, Saturday at Hurrcane.
Seth Kinker led off the first for Cabell Midland (4-4) with a homer to spark the four-run burst. The Knights had five hits in that inning, but just two more the rest of the way off Austin Hensley.
Alex Dunham delivered an RBI single for the Redskins (4-1) in the first. J.T. Rogoszewski belted a two-run homer in the third and Ace Estep followed with an RBI double and Estep would later score on an error to put the home team ahead to stay, 5-4. Hurricane added three in the fifth on another RBI double by Estep, a bunt single by Hensley and walk to Rogoszewski with the bases loaded.
Cabell Midland's next game is Monday at Winfield. Hurricane visits Capital on Monday.

HUNTINGTON 13, WHEELING CENTRAL 3: The Highlanders scored six runs in the third inning and went on to defeat the Maroon Knights at Cook-Holbrook Field.
Andrew Zban had a double and drove in four runs for Huntington. Bruce Leep also had a double and knocked in two runs. The Highlanders totaled 15 hits in six innings.
Wheeling Central scored three runs in the third. Winning pitcher Nathan Booth, Kris VanCamp and Ben Gibson blanked the Maroon Knights the other five innings and allowed just two hits.
Huntington has a busy week this week. The Highlanders entertain Logan on Monday, visit St. Albans on Tuesday, entertain Cabell Midland on Wednesday, at Winfield on Thursday and Greenup County comes in Friday.

Bruce McDermitt went 2-for-3 for Point Pleasant. Potter allowed two hits, struck out three and walked three in five innings to earn the victory.
