HUNTINGTON -- Casey Baker from Marshall was named as a member of the Conference USA women's basketball All-Defensive Team.

Baker, a junior guard from Bradenton, Fla., led the conference with 3.23 steals per game. She had 97 steals in the regular season, the second-best total in Marshall history and fifth-most in C-USA history. She also blocked 13 shots.

Marshall enters the C-USA tournament Thursday in Orlando, Fla., with Baker averaging 11.8 points and 4.13 assists per game.

No. 6 seed Marshall plays No. 11 Tulane at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in UCF Arena.

C-USA women's basketball coaches, sports information directors and selected media members participated in the voting.

Pauline Love from Southern Miss, the league scoring leader with a 16.8 average, earned a spot on the All-CUSA first team. Love also averaged 11.0 rebounds per game which ranks seventh in the nation.

Other players on the all-conference first team were Diamond Rogers of UAB, Jareica Hughes of UTEP, Twiggy McIntyre from Houston and Janielle Dodds of SMU.
