AKRON, Ohio -- Akron zipped past Marshall, 145-90, in a women's swimming and diving dual meet.
Marshall coach Leonard Kraus said the Thundering Herd was a little flat in its first meet of 2009.
Ally Melinksy from Marshall won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:27.74.
Marshall's next meet is Jan. 20 at home against Ohio.
