YMCA triathlon tests Tri-State youth

Purchase this photoHUNTINGTON -- Tri-State youth athletes made their way to the YMCA Kennedy Center on Route 2 on Saturday morning to take part in the Huntington YMCA Kids Triathlon.
Children ages 5-14 competed in five different divisions: a 5-6 division, 7-8 division, 9-10 division, 11-12 division and 13-14 division.
The criteria for the 5-6 and 7-8 divisions were a 25-yard swim, a 1/2 lap bike and a 1/2 lap run. The 9-10 division competed in a 50-yard swim, a 1-lap bike and a 1 lap run. The 11-12 and 13-14 division took part in a 50-yard swim, 2-lap bike and a 1 lap run.
