Herd hosts FIU soccer Oct. 23

HURRICANE -- FIU and Marshall's Thundering Herd play a Conference USA men's soccer match at 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Hurricane High School. Admission is free.

FIU has a 7-5-2 overall record and is 0-4-1 in conference matches. Marshall, 10-3-1 for the season, is 2-3-0 in C-USA after losing its last two matches.

Marshall leader Tom Jackson (seven goals) is listed as questionable because of an injury.

Jack Hopkins has four Thundering Herd goals while Eddy Prugh and Andrew Ferguson both have three.

Quentin Albrecht leads FIU with eight goals.

Women's tennis

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Marshall doubles partners Dominika Zaprazna and Maria Voscekova play Tuesday in the semifinal round of the ITA Atlantic Regional.

The Marshall duo won Monday against Anik Cepeda and Leeza Nemchinov of William and Mary, 8-5. Their semifinal opponents are Erin Vierra and Maci Epstein from Virginia.
