Holland leads SV to win against Ashland
SPRING VALLEY -- Chris Holland figured in all the scoring for Spring Valley in a 3-1 boys soccer victory over Ashland on Tuesday.
Holland scored the first Spring Valley (9-8-0) goal, then assisted on goals by Austin Jones and Jacob Maddox.
Goalkeeper Jared Messer made three saves for the Timbeerwolves.
Ashland (8-9-0) had a goal by John Pina.
Spring Valley has its Senior Night match Thursday against Boyd County.

ASHLAND 2, SPRING VALLEY 1: The Timberwolves out-shot Ashland, 20-12, but Spring Valley's only goal came on a Katie Merritt penalty kick in the final minute of the first half.
Ashland sophomore Charity Collins continues to be the nerve center of the Tomcats' offense, picking up two assists. Collins found Regan Neal for the opening score, and Aiden Young for the game-winner.
The loss drops Spring Valley to 6-10 on the season. The Timberwolves are at home for Senior Night against South Charleston with the match starting at 6 p.m., Wednesday.
