Tinnon gets tryout with Nets
HUNTINGTON -- Dennis Tinnon might be getting his big break with the Brooklyn Nets.
The former Marshall University men's basketball player has a Monday workout with the NBA team. The Nets pay airfare and provide one night of lodging and a per diem.
Tinnon's schedule Monday includes a morning workout at the team practice facility in East Rutherford, N.J., followed by media interviews then lunch and interviews with the Nets.
The Marshall spring graduate is hoping to be taken June 27 in the NBA Draft.
Tinnon is a 6-foot-8, 232-pound forward who collected 641 rebounds in two Thundering Herd seasons. Last season he averaged 10.5 points and 9.1 rebounds a game.
