PROCTORVILLE, Ohio — Fairland jumped to a 19-3 lead and rolled to a 53-34 Ohio Valley Conference girls basketball victory over River Valley.

Chandler Fulks led the Dragons (18-3) with 12 points. Terra Stapleton scored 11 p oi nt s .

Leah Moore led the Raiders with 11 points.

The Dragons squared their record at 11-11 entering sec­tional tournament play.

Luke Phillips led Fairland with 13 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Evan Maddox followed with 11 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Nathan Campbell added 10 points and had 10 rebounds. Thayer Flynn also scored 10. Fairland plays a sectional game at 6 p.m. Friday against Oak Hill in Jackson.

SPRING VALLEY 68, PRINC­ETON 55: Jacob Kilgore scored 27 points to lead three Tim­berwolves in double-figures as Spring Valley earned its third straight win.

Kilgore had one of the more memorable shots of the sea­son when he drained a 75­footer at the halftime buzzer to put the Timberwolves up 33-25 at the break.

Princeton closed within three at the end of the third, but Spring Valley (4-3) was able to close out the win.

Greg Herbert scored 18 points and Austin Keyser add­ed 10 for the Timberwolves.

Princeton got 19 points from Cotton Fix while Aaron Ferguson and Ian Southcott added 14 and 12 respectively.

Jordan Elkins led Elk Valley Christian with 15 points. Trey Suttle and Luke Williams scored 11 points apiece.

Both teams return to action Thursday in the West Vir­ginia Christian Tournament in Summersville.
