Wiley makes ace on No. 4 at Twin Silos

LAVALETTE -- C. David Wiley made a hole-in-one Monday on the fourth hole at Twin Silos at Lavalette. He used a gap-wedge on the 137-yard par 3. Keith Wellman witnessed the ace, the third of Wiley's career.

Dragon 5K Run/Walk still accepting entries

PROCTORVILLE, Ohio -- Entries are still being accepted for the third annual Dragon 5K Run/Walk scheduled Saturday at Fairland High School.

The race will start at 9 a.m. in the school parking lot near Jim Mayo Stadium. The course goes through the street of Rome and wraps up back at the parking lot. Registration is $25 on race day. The top three finishers in each age group will get awards.

The race is a major fund-raiser for the Fairland Athletic Boosters. The boosters are helping with the resodding of the football field. The track is getting a new surface as well.

First Tee Luncheon is Tuesday at Greenbrier

HUNTINGTON -- The First Tee of West Virginia Greenbrier Classic Luncheon will be held Tuesday at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs.

The luncheon will start at 11:45 a.m. Tables are $1,000 include eight seats and two weekly badges for the PGA TOUR's Greenbrier Classic on July 4-7.

All proceeds will go directly to support programs for the First Tee of West Virginia.
