HUNTINGTON -- Boys and girls age 6 to 15 can show off their football skills Sunday, Sept. 18 in an NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition at Marshall University.

The 3:30 p.m. competition hosted by the Marshall Recreation Center on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 20th Street is free. Age groups are 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15. Age classification is as of Dec. 31, 2011. Enter online at www.www.nflppk.com or at the recreation center. A birth certificate or religious document is required for all participants before competing.

The NFL Punt, Pass & Kick football competition allows youngsters to showcase their talents in punting, passing, and kicking with scores based on distance and accuracy.

Top finishers in each age group advance to a sectional contest. Winners at the sectional level will have their scores compared with other sectionals for advancement to the Cincinnati Bengals Team Championship to be held at a future game.

The top four finishers from the pool of team champions qualify for the National Finals at an NFL playoff game in January.
