Susan Clagg, 17, of Milton, won fourth place at the inaugural IEA (Indiana Eventing Association) Training 3-day event on Sunday, May 31, in Edinburgh, Ind. The Classic 3-day event consists of 3 phases. Dressage on day one, speed and endurance on day two, and show jumping on day three. Each phase has its place in demonstrating the versatility of the equine athlete. Susan and her horse, Blessed Event, have worked hard for the past 2 months preparing for this competition. Susan trains under the supervision of Robyn Estep, owner of Millridge Farm in Milton.

The East Carter Middle School Raiders traveling team coached by Tim Wiler and Dean Greene recently completed league play at Sports City U in Teays Valley. The Raiders were undefeated in regular league play and went on to win the championship game of the league tournament on May 12. Team members are Alston Wiley, Connor Greene, Cole Brammer, Chase Thomas, Kaleb Mullins and Cade Stidham. Team members absent from photo are Austin Gee and Jordan Burchett.
