9-10 Barboursville All-Stars fall in softball final
PETERSBURG, W.Va. -- The age 9-10 Barboursville All-Stars fell to Mountain State, 5-4, in the West Virginia State Softball final on Thursday.
Barboursville led 4-1 going into the fifth inning, but had the lead slip away down the stretch.
Starter Haleigh Kuhn registered 10 strikeouts and Ginny Hardin collected two hits. Kuhn, Makayla McIntosh and Trinity Casto each had RBIs for Barboursville.
Mountain State starter Lauren Pauley also had 10 Ks.
