C-K Babe Ruth All Star team heads to regional tournament
HUNTINGTON -- Ceredo-Kenova's 14-year-old Babe Ruth Baseball All-Star team is headed to the Ohio Valley Regional Tournament in Robinson, Ill.
C-K won the West Virginia state tournament championship Sunday at Huntington High, defeating Harrison County in the finals.
The Ohio Valley Regional has 12 teams from West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois. C-K's first game is Friday, July 29, against Northern Illinois.
A fundraising hot dog sale is set from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, July 21, under the shelter at C-K Mitch Stadium. Place phone orders by calling 304-710-4562 or 304-412-5273.
