Tri-State Express wins 16-Under championship

HUNTINGTON -- The Tri-State Express, a traveling basketball team, won the 16-Under championship in the Tournament of the Americas at the Suwanee (Ga.) Sports Academy.

Tri-State Express defeated Georgia Elite, 77-57, in the finals.

"Coach (James Hopkins) said we weren't going to win this tournament," Express guard Zac Carter said in a report by www.hoopseen.ssasports.com. "We thought we could."

Trey Fletcher led with 32 points while Carter had 17. Trevor White added 12.
