Turf Bowl championship is Nov. 10

HUNTINGTON -- Ceredo-Kenova has three of its teams playing for Tri-State Youth Football League championships while Douglass-Cammack and Chesapeake both have two.

Turf Bowl championship games are Saturday at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

C-K made it to the A Team finals with a 30-0 semifinal victory over Beverly Hills. Jeremiah Milum tossed three touchdown passes and ran for a score. Douglass-Cammack is C-K's opponent after defeating Fairland, 38-6. Christopher Rogers had three touchdown runs for Douglass-Cammack.

South Point plays C-K for the B Team title. South Point advanced with a 6-0 defeat of Barboursville, Joel Morrison scored the touchdown. C-K downed Douglass-Cammack in the semifinals, 22-0. Graeson Malashevich (two) and Parker Elmore scored the touchdowns.

In the C Team finals it's Chesapeake meeting C-K. Donald Richendollar, Austin Jackson and Zander Schmidt scored for Chesapeake in a 20-0 semifinal victory over Douglass-Cammack. Gaylen Cisco, Clayton Sharp and Dane Burgess scored for C-K in a 22-0 win over Ona.

Cheapeake plays Douglass-Cammack in the D Team finals. Chesapeake beat Barboursville in the semifinals, 8-6, on a Justice Hutchinson touchdown and a two-point conversion pass to Ethan Taylor from Jacob Lemley. Douglass-Cammack downed Hurricane, 30-0, with Corbin Page and Zavion Johnson both scoring twice.
