Abby Naegele, a Fairland Middle School eighth grade student, was the all-around gold medalist at the Level 9 Regional Gymnastics Championships held April 18-19 at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa. Naegele took the all-around title with a score of 37.725 that included gold in vault (9.70) and beam (9.50). She qualified to compete May 8-10 at the USAG Women's Junior Olympic Level 9 Eastern National Championships in Kissimmee, Fla. She trains at Bozhi's Gym Nest, 3720 Green Valley Road, Huntington.

Milton holds off Barboursville in LL baseball

HUNTINGTON  — Noah Beter saved the day for Milton in more ways than one.

Beter earned a save in Milton’s harrowing 11-10 victory over Barboursville in the Little League District 1 championship game Monday night at Vinson. He also went 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double, a single, five runs batted in and four runs scored.
