Video: Cirque Eloize to perform Sept. 24-25

Aug. 30, 2013 @ 09:35 AM

Here's a video for Cirque Eloize's new show Cirkopolis, which is coming to the Big Sandy Superstore Arena on Tuesday-Wednesday, Sept. 24-25. With Cirkopolis, Cirque Eloize dives into a vibrant imaginary world, pushing the boundaries of visual and audio innovation through different forms of projections. The imagery that takes us into this industrial yet fanciful sculptural universe is inspired by the rich visual world of comic books. In this scenic universe, dance, circus and theatre meet, and the characters and objects are brought to life by the breath of poetry and musicality. The 12 artists will perform several advanced acrobatic disciplines, including diabolo, Spanish web, teeterboard, Cyr wheel and contortion. Projections on the back wall, complete with pivoting panels used by the performers, contribute to the dream-like decor inspired by a surrealistic and clown-like vision. Visit www.cirque-eloize.com. Tickets are $34.75, $44.75 and VIP table tickets $79 at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena Box Office, www.ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets and by calling 800-745-3000.
