Here's the official book trailer for "Magic in the Mountains: Kelsey Murphy, Robert Bomkamp, and the West Virginia Cameo Glass Revolution." Over the past year, Donna Meredith interviewed dozens of glassworkers and managers from Pilgrim, Fenton, GlassWorks and Hinkle as well as collectors, gallery owners and museum experts. The book covers every aspect of cameo glass from Murphy's art and inspiration to the process involved in casing, masking and carving a vessel to marketing and collecting the glass. Meredith is doing her part to spread the word about the beauty of cameo glass. In addition to "Magic in the Mountains," she wrote the cover story for the fall issue of Goldenseal magazine on Kelsey Murphy's achievements. Both the book and magazine will be archived in the Rakow Research Library at the Corning Museum of Glass.
