Video: The Weeks to perform Aug. 17

Aug. 09, 2013 @ 08:24 AM

Here's the official video for The Weeks' song "The House We Grew Up In." The Jackson, Miss.-based rock band will make their first appearance at The V Club, 741 6th Ave., Huntington, on Saturday, Aug. 17, along with Old Baby and Catherine Irwin (the founder of the alt-country group Freakwater). Cover is $8 for ages 18 and up. The Weeks just finished up a month long tour in the UK with Kings of Leon and are now back in the U.S. playing a slew of shows to support of their debut full-length, “Dear Bo Jackson.” The Weeks are composed of Sam Williams (guitars), Damien Bone (bass), Cain Barnes (drums), Cyle Barnes (vocals) and Alex Admiral Collier (keyboards). Their music combines classic flavors of soul, R&B, funk, and heavy boogie that has allowed the band to create their own unique take on contemporary Southern rock.
