Three family members arrested in Ironton drug bust
IRONTON, Ohio — The Lawrence County Drug and Major Crime Task Force found marijuana, cocaine, cash and a stolen firearm at a home on South 4th Street Wednesday morning and arrested three people on drug-related charges.
Arrested were Christopher Martin Jr., who faces a charge of trafficking in drugs; as well as Chris Martin Sr. and his wife, Paula Martin, who both face a charge of complicity to drug trafficking.
According to a release from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Deputy Jeff Lawless had received complaints about drug activity at 1524 South 4th St., and as a result of investigation was able to gather enough evidence for a search warrant.
Officers arrived at the residence at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday and found the three Martins and a female juvenile. They also found the drugs, cash, firearm, and drug paraphernalia.
The Martins are at the Lawrence County Jail in Ironton and will be arraigned Thursday morning in Ironton Municipal Court.
The task force consists of officers from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Prosecuting Attorney J.B. Collier’s office and the Ironton Police Department.
